AhhToots: Bristol’s Most Picturesque Cakery

AhhToots Cafe

If you are looking for the intersection of medieval charm and modern indulgence, follow the cobblestones to Christmas Street. Nestled in one of Bristol’s most historic quarters, AhhToots isn't just a cake shop—it's a landmark. The building itself is a showstopper. Featuring a stunning Tudor-fronted exterior, it is rumoured to date back to the 13th Century.

For over 100 years, these walls housed a traditional fish and chip shop, but today, the scent of malt vinegar has been replaced by the irresistible aroma of freshly roasted coffee and buttercream.

It is arguably the most photographed storefront in the city, so have your camera ready before you head inside!

What’s on the Menu?

Whether you're looking for a quick caffeine fix or a slow morning treat, AhhToots has you covered:

  • The Cakery: The window is famous for its rotating display of decadent, artfully decorated cakes and sweet treats.

  • Brunch: Served Thursday – Saturday (10am – 2pm), featuring elevated classics.

  • Deli Lunches: Perfect for a savoury midday break with a "deli-style" flair.

  • Coffee & Drinks: Expertly brewed coffee to pair with your pastry of choice.

Plan Your Visit

Note: Seating is cozy and limited both inside and out. It’s a popular spot, so arrive early if you're hoping to snag a perch!
