Bristol Zoo Project
A wild adventure on the city's doorstep
Set amongst 50 acres of beautiful parkland just north of the city centre, the Bristol Zoo Project (formerly Wild Place Project) offers a fantastic wildlife adventure focused on conservation and animal welfare.
Run by the Bristol Zoological Society, this sprawling outdoor attraction is home to incredible animals from around the world.
Visitors can stroll through the immersive Bear Wood, walking on elevated wooden walkways through ancient British woodland to spot European brown bears, grey wolves, wolverines, and Eurasian lynxes coexisting as they would have centuries ago. You can also say hello to giraffes, zebras, and elands in the Benoue National Park exhibit, or watch cheetahs and gelada baboons roam in their expansive habitats. The site is designed to mimic the animals' natural environments, providing plenty of space for them to thrive.
With fantastic outdoor play areas, the thrilling Leap of Faith climbing experience, and a strong focus on saving wildlife together, it's the ultimate outdoor family day out.
