Cabot Tower & Brandon Hill

Situated in Brandon Hill, one of the oldest and most beautiful municipal parks in Bristol, Cabot Tower is a stunning 105-foot red brick and Bath stone tower that dominates the city skyline.

Built in 1897 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of John Cabot's famous voyage from Bristol to North America, the tower is completely free to enter.

Those willing to climb the narrow, winding spiral staircase to the very top are rewarded with stunning, 360-degree panoramic views across the entire city of Bristol, the Harbourside, and stretching out towards the Mendip Hills and the countryside beyond. The surrounding Brandon Hill park is a peaceful haven right next to the bustling Park Street.

It features a fantastic nature reserve, steep sloping lawns perfect for summer picnics, a children's play area, and an abundance of friendly grey squirrels.

It's an essential, highly picturesque stop for anyone looking to get the best vantage point of the city.
