Castle Park
Green heart of the city with ruins
Castle Park is a vibrant and historic green space situated in the heart of Bristol, serving as a bridge between the city’s shopping district and the Floating Harbour.
The park is built upon the site of Bristol Castle, and the atmospheric ruins of St Peter’s Church, which was bombed during the Second World War, stand at its centre as a poignant memorial. Today, the park is a popular spot for office workers and shoppers to relax on its wide lawns, explore the sensory herb garden, or enjoy the children's play area.
It also hosts various outdoor events and festivals throughout the year, making it a bustling hub of city life that beautifully integrates medieval history with modern recreation.
