Queen Square
Magnificent Georgian square and park
One of the largest and finest Georgian squares in Europe, Queen Square is a magnificent 2.4-hectare park surrounded by grand townhouses and elegant office buildings.
This level, open green space is famously symmetrical, with a statue of William III at its centre and wide gravel paths that are perfect for a lunch-time stroll or a game of boules.
The square has a storied past, having been a central site for the Bristol Riots of 1831, but today it is a peaceful and sophisticated oasis.
It frequently serves as a grand backdrop for major city events, including the Bristol Harbour Festival and open-air theatre performances, offering a sense of historical prestige right in the city centre.
