St Nicholas Markets

Established in 1743, St Nicholas Markets is the oldest and most beloved market in Bristol, housed in a maze of beautiful Georgian buildings in the heart of the Old City.

The market is divided into several sections, including the glass-roofed Covered Market and the historic Exchange, where you’ll find an eclectic mix of permanent stalls selling handmade jewellery, vintage clothes, and unique crafts. St Nicholas Markets, also known as St Nicks Market, has Bristol's largest collection of independent retailers.

It is most famous for its incredible food scene, with the "Glass Arcade" offering a world-class selection of global street food, ranging from authentic Persian wraps to classic British pies. The atmosphere is bustling, fragrant, and full of character, making it a favourite lunch spot for locals and a must-visit for tourists seeking the city's authentic flavour.

On various days, the market spills out into the surrounding streets for additional farmers', vegan, and night markets.
